➤ Is this a memorial service for Olga Murray?

This year’s Founder’s Day event will be both a celebration of life for our late founder, Olga Murray, and a fundraiser to honor her dearest wish: for her work in Nepal to continue.

Olga was never someone who wanted much fuss over her, whether it was her birthday or any other special occasion. She always preferred to guide this attention towards Nepal’s children and her life’s work at NYF. Before she passed, Olga requested that the NYF Community have an opportunity to come together over drinks and light bites to remember her fondly and celebrate her remarkable life. This Founder’s Day, our team is working to honor her wishes as well as we can.

Our goal is to create a heartfelt event that, while bittersweet, is ultimately a joyful, forward-thinking opportunity for our community to come together, recommitting to Olga’s promise — and what is now our shared promise.

➤ I would like to make a Founder’s Day 2024 gift, but do not want to donate online. Can I mail a check or send my gift another way? 

Absolutely. You can make a Founder’s Day 2024 donation via check, PayPal, over the phone, through our website, or even through your Donor-Advised Fund (DAF). We’ll be happy to designate it to Founder’s Day 2024 — just make sure to leave a note or let us know!

➤ Is there a dress code?

Dress code is business casual or festive.

➤ Will there be a livestream?

The Founder’s Day program will be recorded and shared on YouTube by the end of June. If you wish to enjoy Founder’s Day via livestream on May 30th, please let us know by emailing info@nepalyouthfoundation.org.

➤ I have already RSVP’d yes, but what if I can longer attend in-person? 

Space is limited, so please let us know as soon as possible if your availability to attend changes.
