Mukunda Bista

Chairperson

An expert in finance and public management, Mukunda Bista has had 26 years of professional experience, including 17 years of international practice. Though retired from formal work, Bista is currently an enthusiastic social activist and a keen practitioner of Buddhism. He has experience of participatory programs and liaison at senior governmental and non-governmental levels, including the development of networks within Asia and between Asia and Europe. He also holds experience at directing EU funded projects, including those funded by EU grant programs in Asia. He has expertise in designing environmentally sustainable international projects as well as writing proposals for EU funded grant programs. An experienced trainer/facilitator in community development programs, he has worked widely with national and local government, civil society organizations, and NGOs too. He holds in-depth experience of the financial management of international projects and of EU procedures. He has also participated in numerous International conferences.

Having completed his Masters Degree in Business Administration from Nepal, Bista holds a Diploma in Public Management from the University of Connecticut, USA. He is married and has two children.
