On Tuesday, June 7, 2022, the NYF community celebrated another “Founder’s Day” event on Zoom. This year, we honored founder Olga Murray’s 97th birthday and the 5th anniversary of NYF’s permanent children’s home, Olgapuri Children’s Village! We also had an online auction with a wide variety of exciting items and experiences to bid on. Congratulations to all the winners!

In addition to celebrating Olga’s birthday and the 5th anniversary of Olgapuri Children’s Village, we heard from our lovely guest speakers, Bishnu Chaudhary and Jeena Maharjan. Near the end of the event, we also introduced an exciting new program, called the Caste Equality Project, aimed to help fight caste-based discrimination. Our attendees enjoyed this exclusive announcement with a beautiful video, followed by an explanation from Som and Olga.

After hosting several virtual events these last few years, NYF has learned a thing or two about helping to make online events more enjoyable for more members of our community.
